Solar News – Prilep Covering 40% of Daytime Electricity Consumption

Together with the sustainability department we planned the additional capacity to cover the power needs for the production. WIK invested to move towards a higher share of renewable energy. Now 550 kWp are producing green electricity for the factory needs. The new investment is not only beneficial for the environment but also for the company, the new capacity will save energy costs of around 510,000 HKD every year. Thanks to the team in Prilep making this project successful and avoiding from now on 280 tones of CO2 every year –this is equivalent to the yearly footprint of 65 Macedonian residents.
